Subject: Report on Beautification of the School Environment

On Friday 30th May, 2025, Class 5T organised and participated in a school beautification activity. The event began at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 11:30 a.m., and was held around the main school courtyard, corridors, and garden areas. The goal of the activity was to improve the appearance of the school grounds and promote a sense of responsibility and pride among students.

Under the guidance of our teacher, Ms. Samuel, all students were divided into groups to complete specific tasks. One group swept the courtyard, removed litter, and cleaned the drains to prevent water buildup. Another group focused on the garden, planting hibiscus and marigold plants along the walkway. A third group repainted the old benches and classroom doors using paints donated by the PTA. The final group decorated the bulletin boards with motivational quotes and student artwork.

Parents and teachers also supported the event. Mr. Lewis, the school groundskeeper, supervised the use of tools and helped dig holes for the plants. Two parents provided extra gloves and refreshments. Ms. Samuel moved between groups, ensuring safety and encouraging teamwork. The students worked hard and remained enthusiastic, even when the sun grew hot.

At the end of the activity, the entire class gathered in the library for a short reflection session. Students shared what they had learned about caring for their surroundings and agreed to take turns maintaining the space weekly. Many expressed pride in seeing the school look cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming. The bulletin boards added a colourful touch, and several teachers complimented the effort.

The beautification activity was a great success and helped foster unity, creativity, and environmental awareness among students. I hope this report clearly highlights our class’s effort and the positive impact of the event.
